Let No One Go Hungry– Strengthen Food Security
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Appé Lanka provided essential food rations to the most vulnerable in Poonakary — women-headed households, single-member families, those with seasonal employment, and families with persons living with disabilities. What began as a relief response evolved into a long-term sustainability effort: the “Let No One Go Hungry” initiative. Through this program, families were encouraged and supported to grow their own vegetables in home gardens, improving nutrition and creating small-scale income opportunities through the sale of excess produce. Today, this initiative continues to nurture self-reliance, dignity, and food security in the community.
